How We Started

Our story started in the oilfield, where Dorine and Chad both spent years working in the industry. That experience gave us a firsthand understanding of the work, the people, and what it takes to keep things moving out in the patch.

We had always wanted to own a business. We just didn't expect that business to be dumpsters.

For a while, we built Big Fish while still working in the oilfield. As the business grew, doing both eventually stopped making sense. We decided to go all in and put our full attention into building Big Fish.

Owner-Operated Service

Being owner-operated keeps us close to the work. Dorine and Chad are both involved in running Big Fish day to day, so when you call, you are not getting routed through a dispatcher or sitting in a queue. You are talking to the people behind the business and the work happening on the schedule.

Dumpsters are still at the center of what we do, but the same approach carries across every job: answer the phone, show up when we say we will, and make it easy to get what you need.

  • We answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays
  • Most calls are returned within minutes, and within two hours at the latest
  • Same-day delivery is often available
  • We serve smaller towns like Monahans, Barstow, and Andrews, not just Odessa and Midland
  • Payment is handled up front, so there is nothing left to chase afterward
  • Our promise is simple: we deliver when we say we will

Frequently Asked Questions About Big Fish Rentals & Services

Who owns Big Fish Rentals & Services?

Chad and Dorine do. He runs operations and sales and drives the truck, and she helps run it day to day. Call at any hour and somebody picks up.

Are you licensed and insured?

Insured, yes. Licensed is a fair question with an honest answer. Dumpster rental and junk removal need no special license in this area. So there's no license number to quote, and there isn't supposed to be one.

What areas do you serve?

Odessa, Midland and everything inside a two-hour drive. Andrews, Monahans, Big Spring, Pecos and the smaller towns around them all get containers on the same terms.

What makes you different from the bigger companies?

Same-day delivery instead of a one to two week quote. The small towns instead of only the two big ones. And the owner on the phone instead of a dispatcher reading from a screen.

Do you serve homes and businesses?

Both. Homeowners rent for cleanouts, remodels and yard work. Contractors, shops and oilfield operators rent for jobsite waste and service on a schedule. Both sides get the same number and the same hours.

How do I get started?

Call. Tell us the address, what's going in the container and when you need it. That's enough to get a box on the schedule, often the same day.

Do you take payment up front?

Yes, before delivery. It keeps the truck moving and it means nobody is chasing an invoice afterward.
